Melanie Gonzalez was born and raised in Los Angeles. Her work explores brujería, femininity and ideas of propriety. During the day, Melanie is a journalist who works across various platforms. She has a Masters in Science from USC with the Annenberg Leadership Scholarship, and holds a BA in Latin American Literature from San Francisco State University.
